Happy April Fool's Day! Have you played a prank on anyone or has anyone played a prank on you today? If so I hope it was a funny one. With a new month comes plenty of new reasons to celebrate and I found some great holidays that you will love to take part in this month. Just don't get too excited about your new party plans for the month and end up having a prank pulled on you by one of your friends. (Sorry, I will not take responsibility for that. lol) Get out those calendars and get ready for some fun!
1. April 2nd: National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day. In celebration host a PB&J party with a PB&J bar. See who can create the tastiest combination!
2. April 3rd: World Party Day. Back in the 90's this holiday was created to recognize peace and joyful expression as fundamental human rights, and celebration (or party) as the opposite of war. I am all for celebrating celebration!
3. April 5th: International Pillow Fight Day. This might be one of the most organized holidays wiith pillow fights planned all over the world. You can find the one closest to you or plan one for you and your friends to take part in.
4. April 7th: National Beer Day (April 6th is New Beers Eve - haha). Back in the day when you couldn't drink beer people were so sad. But on April 7, 1933 Roosevelt made it possible to buy beer again so everyone celebrated! So grab a glass and toast to those who made this day possible.
5. April 10th: National Siblings Day. While you may have to put up with them, you know you still love them no matter what. So today celebrate with your siblings - and probably drive each other crazy at the same time!
6. April 12th: Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day. Back in college every Thursday was grilled cheese Thursday and everyone made sure to eat in the dining hall that day. While I have been out of college a few years now this is the perfect way to bring back that college tradition! Now I just have to decide which combo to go for!
7. April 13th: Scrabble Day. As a fan of most every board game I was excited to see that today is scrabble day. Grab some friends (and a dictionary) and let the games begin!
8. April 18th: National Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day. Just please don't blame me if your director of HR or your boss sends you home!
9. April 22nd: National Jelly Bean Day. Since you probably just stocked up with jelly beans from Easter (April 20th) today is the perfect day to celebrate this yummy candy. Just be careful if you have those Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Jelly Beans, there are some disgusting ones in there!
10. April 25th: World Penguin Day. Who knew that this was an actual world holiday?!?! Even if you aren't located near the South Pole to see these adorable animals you can still celebrate at home with all these activities provided by Sea World.
