When it comes to the Easter holiday I love seeing the pastel decorations the coordinate so well with this spring holiday celebrating new life. Outside you will start to see flowers bloom, the snow melting away and maybe even spot the Easter bunny hopping around in the garden. Some of my favorite ways of decorating for a party are by using a variety of colors and using “the more, the merrier” decorating technique. Springtime, and the Easter holiday, is perfect for this type of decorating style. To help you get started I have pulled together a number of great ideas that will help you create the perfect Easter or springtime party. Time to hop to it!

Egg-centric Decorating
Since spring is the season of new life a lot of spring and Easter decorations you will find will include the egg. This year don’t hide all your eggs for the egg hunt and get ready to use them in your decorating. If you try your hand at making any of the egg decorating crafts I shared with you on Tuesday those could make a wonderful Easter decoration. You could display them on candle holders, in baskets, or strung like ornaments onto a tree. I also love the idea of using them in a vase (like below) or as candle votive. And you can’t forget about the Easter Egg Banner that I showed you how to make last week!
Let Your Decorations Bloom
I love using flowers (real and fake) when it comes to decorating for events. They can add great colors and style to a table’s theme. The great thing about spring is that you can get a great selection of flowers from stores, the flower market or even your own backyard. You don’t have to use real flowers in all of your Easter decorating. You can make these daffodil flower candy cups or daisy sugar cookies to add some spring floral decorations.
Spring Pastels
And for everything else just go pastel crazy! Combine polka dots, chevron, stripes and gingham prints in light blues, pinks, purples, greens and yellows to round out your décor. This is the perfect occasion to mix it up with your use of different colored plates, cups, napkins, etc. when creating your tablescape. Comb through flea markets and antique stores to find an amazing variety of table ware that you can mix and match. And to help finish
Even if you don’t celebrate Easter you can still host a wonderful spring brunch using these same party ideas! I am loving these colors and ideas so much and cannot wait for spring to actually get here (no more weekly snow storms for me please!).

How are you celebrating Easter this weekend?

xoxo
